The application consists of six components.

  • Free Body Diagram: Build a structure on the screen with drawing tools. Software draws the free body diagrams with the click of a button. Software shows the solution strategy for determining all the internal forces and moments.
  • Shear Force and Bending Moment Diagrams: Software guides you to draw the shear focre and bending moment diagrams for simply supported or clamped beams.
  • Trusses: Software guides to solve truss problems by using the method of joints. Built in calculator solves equilibrium equations to reduce your work.
  • Friction: Solve single body or multiple bodies problems and slipping or tipping problems with simple button clicks. Guided problem solving with step by step instructions.
  • Area Properties: Draw composite areas on the screen with drawing tools. Software determines location of centroid, area, second moments of inertia, and products of inertia. Apply theorems of parallel axis and rotation axis, determine minimum and maximum moments of inertia with button clicks.
